Critical Care Medicine Department was established in 2015, relying on the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.We provide critical medical treatment with superb medical technology and excellent nursing service for critically ill patients.

The Critical Care Unit is located on the 3rd floor of the In-patient Department which covers approximately 1340 square meters.The department has 10 thousand laminar air-flow wards including 4 single rooms, 5 twin-bed rooms (1 negative pressure room)and 1 triple room with a total of 17 beds.

Critical Care Medicine Department has world-class equipment for organ function monitoring and support, treatment, clinical research and teaching , including central monitoring system, invasive and non-invasive continuous hemodynamic monitoring system, microcirculation and transcutaneous oxygen monitoring, rapid blood gas biochemical analyzer, rapid immune analyzers. There are series of complete sets of monitoring and treatment equipment including syringe pumps, infusion pumps, temperature control blanket, fiber bronchoscope, multi-function ultrasound, etc. The wards are also equipped with advanced crane bed unit, multi-function electricbed, and other first-class ICU function auxiliary equipment.We can provide respiratory and circulatory support, organ function protection ,microcirculation monitoring and cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation and other medical technologies. We have rich experience in treatment of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, ARDS, sepsis, shock, high-risk pregnancy or maternity, severe acute pancreatitis,acute poisoning and other critical illnesses.

We specialized in invasive and non- invasive continuous hemodynamic monitoring (such as PiCCO2, CVP, etc.), invasive and non-invasive ventilator assisted support strategy, continuous renal replacement therapy, critical ultrasound, fiber bronchoscope lavage and other distinctive medical technologies.Our department ranks the first echelon in Chinese Critical Care Medicine specialty list according to the national ranking of Fudan University.We are a team with superb skills, responsibilities, unity, and pioneering spirits.
