1.General introduction

Obstetrics Department was set up officially in 2008 with the birth of an baby on the opening day of Olympic Games. It is situated in VIP Building. Our duty is to protect the safety of mother-infant who comes from inside and outside of ChongQing.“Be proud to be a Jinshan baby” is our slogan. The environment is cozy and comfortable.Almost all the prenatal examinations can be done in VIP Building. There are 41 bedsin use,including single-room ,twin suite,three suite and five suite.

2. General medical service projects

Obstetrics Outpatient Clinic:It refers to the regular prenatal examination,you can choose the expert as you like. It opens from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 12:00,14:00-17:00 on weekdays;from 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturday .

Midwife Consulting Clinic: It has been open from 2012.This project set an example for other hospitals.If you choose natural delivery,you can go to the midwife consulting clinic at the same time,and you will get sufficient guidance about natural delivery.It opens from Monday to Friday,from 8:00 to 12:00,14:00-17:00.

Antenatal Genetic Consulting Outpatient Clinic:It offers genetic consultation information for pregnant women,and help women with unusual pregnancy history to check up the reasons, preparing for the next pregnancy.The purpose is to improve the quality of gestation.

Mommy Course:It has been started from 2012.The forms of course include online and offline,which is convenient to choose and is helpful to the pregnant women and their family members to learn the knowledge of caring mom &infant.

Family-center Maternity Care(FCMC):This is our labor management mode.The pregnant woman can be accompanied by her family members during the whole process,which is helpful to appease maternal emotion and improve her confidence.This mode is helpful to promote natural delivery and has been the example among the hospitals in ChongQing.

Painless Labor:we provides painless labor project 24 hours.

Children's Health Care:It has been run from 2012.It is responsible for the physical examination of the baby,which opens from Monday to Friday,from 8:00 to 12:00,14:00-17:00.

Postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation:It has been open from 2011,which has become the Postpartum Rehabilitation Center of ChongQing at 2020.

Breastfeeding Guidance Service:Establised at the end of 2019,it includes inpatient consulting and outpatient consulting.The service time of inpatient consulting is from Monday to Friday;the service time of outpatient consulting is from Monday to Friday,from 8:00 to 12:00,14:00-17:00.Meantime,we have two IBCLCs.This mode is very useful to increase breasfeeding rates,and we are the pioneer in ChongQing.

3. Our pecial projects

 Obstetrics Department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University is entitled as "National Key Clinical Specialty",  "Maternal-fetal Chongqing State-level Key Laboratory" ,"Chongqing high-risk Pregnancy Treatment Center","Chongqing Prenatal Diagnostic Center" and "Chongqing Fetal Medical Center", and we are part of it.

Obstetrics Quality Control Center of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area :In 2019,we were successfully approved as“Obstetrics Quality Control Center of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area ”.Our aim is to guard the safety of every pregnant woman in Liangjiang New Area, in Chongqing ,in China and in the world, and let delivery become a beautiful memory for all of you.

Chongqing Women's Civilization:In 2017,we had won the title of Chongqing Women's Civilization.

Chongqing Postpartum Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Center:In 2020, we were approved as“Chongqing Postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation center”.

Chongqing Municipal Obstetrics First Aid Care Training Base:The training base is responsible for the first-aid training for maneuver nursing care in Chongqing, and making a significant contribution to enhance the emergency capability of Chongqing.

Chongqing midwifery technical training base:The training base is responsible for the training of midwifes mainly in Chongqing district and the surrounding areas, and also from all over the country, a major contribution to the training of technically competent midwifes.
